StoreVault Manager simplifies the management of your storage, reducing the complexity of everyday tasks while maintaining full control. StoreVault Manager provides tools for initial set-up and common storage management tasks such as volume management, capacity allocation, snapshot scheduling, setting permissions and updating settings. But despite the sophistication of the underlying Data ONTAP SVE operating environment, storage management expertise is not required and no new learning is needed as everything is accomplished via a familiar and intuitive Windows environment.
A graphical representation of the storage environment makes it easy for administrators to see what is happening. StoreVault Manager provides feedback to the administrator on events that could potentially affect normal operation. E-mail notification can be set up to provide alerts about events such as storage quotas thresholds being crossed, or potential hardware issues. AutoSupport can be enabled to provide remote diagnostics. The elegant simplicity and logical arrangement of the GUI make a StoreVault easy to use for non-storage specialists.
